My name is JR and I am a Bay Area native. I was born in Oakland, CA and raised in Pittsburg, CA. I have been a DJ since 1998 and was inspired by my older brother who was also a DJ and would bring me along with him to his gigs and show me the ropes. I got my first pair of turntables in 1998 and the rest is history. Growing up, I would DJ weddings, high school dances, and private events and eventually made my way into the SF nightclub scene.
In 2020 when the world changed, I left my job in health care and turned my weekend hobby into a full-time business. I invested in the best lighting and sound system, and fully transformed into a high end mobile business so that I can help make your special event as wonderful and memorable as it can be.
When I am not DJing, I'm usually traveling with my wife and three kids who also share my love for music. My wife is the one working behind the scenes to make sure bookings are taken care of and events run smoothly. If you're lucky, you may see her assisting me at some of my events!
I play a wide range of music including top 40, hip hop, pop, r&b, rap, old school, reggae, funk, latin, disco, and so much more. For every event that I do, I create a custom playlist specifically tailored to the vibe you're going for. Whether it's a classy wedding, a professional corporate event, a hyphy birthday celebration or an old school boogie, I will work hard to bring your vision to life and create the ambiance with my music, sound and lighting.
I have been DJ'ing since 1998 and enjoy sharing my love for music with others. I love seeing the dance floor packed with everyone having a good time. I will always work hard to make sure that your event is memorable.
